Commercial Sales Executive: Anchorage

Job Summary

This position is a high-paced, exciting position focused on the commercial hospitality services sector of Microcom’s business. As a Commercial Sales Executive, you must provide a high level of customer service to both internal employees and external customers. The position provides customized solutions for hospitality entertainment and managed broadband services. Demonstrating pride in your role and responsibilities at all times is a must.

 

Responsibilities

  • Business sales focus
  • Market to commercial businesses for the purpose of selling entertainment and managed services packages
  • Selling the best value in entertainment including HD, sports, and movies
  • Providing a compelling customer experience by fully understanding their needs and providing the appropriate solutions
  • Plan and coordinate customer installation.  This includes working with purchasing to order materials; working with dispatch to schedule installation; keeping customers apprised of installation details.
  • Work with Administration to ensure customer account set up and billing is precise.
  • Become a subject matter expert in the cutting-edge satellite communications industry
  • Be knowledgeable with competitor’s offerings to better sell our product

Sales Lead: Hilo

Job Summary

The Sales Lead is responsible for the providing excellent customer service and selling Microcom products to customers. Performs sales calls, including lead follow-up. Negotiates and closes sales. Follows-up with the customer after the sale. Provides continuing after sales contact with existing customers. Acts as a liaison between the customer and the company. Performs related administrative and record keeping tasks. Maintains professional selling skills through training programs. Maintains a high level of technical competence with respect to Microcom’s products which will allow for professional selling of the product. Set up temporary sales displays as necessary to promote service and reach out to potential clients.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, research, and troubleshoot computer system issues, including operating systems, hardware and software, networking, VPN, connectivity, server, and other network devices/peripherals, both remotely and onsite.
  • Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, virtual machines, mobile phones, VOIP products, servers, backup systems, and miscellaneous devices.

  • Supports Tier 1 technical support and customer service phone support for external customers
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • This support can be but is not limited to, entertainment services and smart home products, hardware systems/accessories, and customer service inquiries regarding technical support, billing, and general information requests
  • Provide quality technical support service through one-contact resolution to establish a long-term customer relationship
  • Accurately respond to questions and assist customers (internal and external) with product features, installation, setup, and troubleshooting, and hardware operations primarily via phone
  • Assist customers with their billing and payments as needed

Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for leading telecommunications projects to completion and following project management methodology to initiate, plan, execute, control, and closeout projects. Projects include Managed Services and Wireless Broadband located in rural communities.

This is a mid-level position requiring the ability to work independently while performing diverse duties under deadlines and operating constraints.

 

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, implement, and closeout projects according to the specifications and deadlines while keeping the project within budget.
  • Manage the delivery of network-based voice and data services
  • Meet customer and internal requirements for timeliness, quality of service, and accurate billing.

Other Requirements:

  • Primarily office work with some travel to company locations where indoor and outdoor work may be required.  Physical effort may include stooping, kneeling, touching, feeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, using hand tools, and repetitive motions. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. Must be able to drive, as use of a personal vehicle for transportation between various company facilities is required.
  • Background and Drug Screening: This includes: pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, return to duty, and follow-up testing.

 

Working Conditions:

  • The majority of the work is performed in Anchorage with projects both in and out of town. Position may require travel to remote locations (which may include traveling in small aircraft) in Alaska for site surveys, meetings, and contract management/inspection purposes. The company and its subsidiaries operate in a 24/7 environment providing critical services to Alaskans and may need to respond to service outages. Due to business needs employees may be contacted outside of normal business hours to respond to the immediate emergency. You will be requested to provide emergency after-hours contact numbers.

Wireless Tower Technician: Anchorage

  • Installation of wireless communications systems.
  • Climbing and working on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems and equipment.
  • Knowing the hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working on or near energized lines and equipment.
  • Runs required lines to the top of the tower; grounds coax lines and build different sizes and types of connectors.
  • Stacks tower steel and install sector mounts
  • Basic knowledge of microwave dish and radio installations and path alignment
  • Follow instructions accurately and complete the assigned course of action.

  • The basic use and care of hand tools and mechanical equipment.

Warehouse Associate: Anchorage

  • Complete daily inventory request for Microcom technicians
  • Complete weekly inventory request from Microcom contractors
  • Complete weekly stock transfer request from Microcom warehouses
  • Receive weekly purchase orders from vendors
  • Maintain set inventory levels in InHouse technician cages
  • Ensure that installation materials are readily available to InHouse technicians
  • Completing inventory transactions in a computerized inventory management system
  • Process equipment returns to vendors in a timely manner
  • Complete and ship out daily sales orders
  • Input all shipments leaving from the warehouse into an internal tracking system
  • Submit weekly inventory counts

Accounts Receivable Specialist: Anchorage

Dispatcher: Alaska

Job Summary

Dispatch handles monitoring of technician routing/schedules, updating jobs to completed or rescheduled, and assists customers and coworkers with schedule dates and information on existing, past or future jobs.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones
    1. Customers regarding scheduling
    2. Sales staff for scheduling new customers, updates on previously scheduled customers
    3. Admin staff for updates of past, present, and future customers
    4. Technicians for cancelling, closing and rescheduling customers
  • Route Technicians/Schedule Customers
    1. Ensure all fulfillment work orders are routed to correct technician according to area, skills and time frame
    2. Place retail work in schedule manually according to correct skills, area and time frame, as well as customer preference
    3. Schedule incoming service calls from providers emails according to tech skills, area, time frame and prioritized customer preference
    4. Ensure inventory is available to service customers
  • Update work orders
    1. Check all jobs for closed, cancelled or rescheduled
    2. Check all notes for accurate inventory and connectivity notes
    3. Ensure all retail work gets updated in all applications (Agemni, Pixsys, etc.)
  • Upsell customers with additional products as needed
  • Read and reply to emails, return voice mails
  • Make travel requests for technicians to keep productivity and availability within standards
  • Reports as assigned

Work Environment

Physical Demands

Sitting at desk for majority of the day with the exception of breaks and any meetings or duties as assigned.

Position Type and Expected Hours

This is a full-time position, with occasional over time. Hours of operation are 7 days a week 7:45am to 6:30pm. If your tasks are not completed or if there is an issue that arises, you will be required to work after your expected shift end to complete. Job Summary

Responsible for the repair of satellite dishes on the roofs of homes and office buildings by the use of an extension ladder. The standard ladder used by WWTS has been rated by the American National Standards Institute (ASNI) to hold a weight of (including tool belt and equipment) of up to 300 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality customer service and support for designated equipment
  • Escalates problems to appropriate next level support when necessary
  • Monitors assigned service calls to ensure timely completion
  • Ensures all time reporting and other required reports are accurate and submitted on time
  • Meets or exceeds various service levels as established by assignment (calls per day, ETAs, on-time response, administrative call closure, client satisfaction)
  • Responsible for ensuring on-going maintenance and development of positive relationships with all business partners and clients
  • Ability to be part of geographic stand-by rotation which may require call out work during off hours including evenings and early mornings.
  • Maintain all required OEM Certifications
Requirements
