Job Summary

Our company is looking for a Telecommunications Sales Executive to join our team. This position requires you to become a product expert in a diverse group of satellite technology products.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow sales relationships with existing clients;
  • Assess clients’ needs, recommend or assist in the selection of appropriate goods or services, and negotiate prices or other sales terms;
  • Sell telecommunications products and services to both individuals and companies;
  • Prepare and administer sales contracts and maintain customer records;
  • Identify and solicit potential clients;
  • Develop, implement and report on marketing plans and sales strategies to achieve business goals;
  • Assess market conditions and competitors’ activities and develop an awareness of emerging markets and trends;
  • Develop sales presentations, proposals, or other materials to illustrate benefits from use of good or service;
  • Manage the customer experience and expectations
  • Plan and coordinate system installations. This includes working with purchasing to order materials; working with dispatch to schedule installation; keeping customer apprised of installation details.
  • Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service;
  • Write and submit accurate orders;
  • Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit clients’ needs;
  • Consult with clients after sale to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support;
  • Build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships;
  • Maintain and update sales database including all activities, partners, and opportunities with current status.

Competencies

      • Excellent communication skills;
      • 3-5 years of experience in sales or in a technical occupation is required;
      • Multi-tasking and detail-oriented
      • Knowledge of Managed Services
      • Cooperative attitude – must be able to effectively work with peers in a team-focused environment and willing to help other departments when needed
      • Ability to work unsupervised with high levels of productivity;
      • Good organizational skills and follow through on assignments
      • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships;
      • Ability to stay updated with technology;

Education and Experience

      • 3-5 years of experience in sales or in a technical occupation
      • College Degree in business or technical education or another relevant field.
